The long and expensive process has started.

I have been working diligently since my last blog post on getting my business started. Years ago when I had a carpet cleaning business, I started with a little Wells Cargo trailer that had a Bridgepoint Lancer mounted inside with all the other goodies. As my business started to take off, I purchased a VERY used van and then put all the stuff in that. Maybe it is because I am older now, but I just don't have the energy to start off like that again. I remember trying to always convince my clients that my trailer could do the same job as a van, and it did. But once I got in the van and didn't have to pull that trailer, my world opened up.

Yesterday I was looking for a good van and I came across the Nissan NV 2500 and 3500. I never had any intention of going with anything else other than an Express or Econoline van, but I think I am sold on the Nissan NV. There is one for sale on Ebay and I just might pick it up. They are a little more than I want to pay, but I want to start off with a professional look. I think that van with the AMTEX Dragon 40/47 mounted in it would be a killer combo.

Thanks to all the guys on TMF for helping me decide on how to structure my company, LLC or S Corp. For my personal reasons, I am going to go with an S Corp and be a salaried employee. I have the paperwork ready to go but I am going to hold off on turning it all in until I get everything set up.

I have my logo designed, business cards ordered, my web site is being built, coming soon.... www.apcarpetcleaners.com, and I am working on some marketing materials. Uniforms and hats are ordered.

I am hoping to close escrow on one of my rentals within the next couple of weeks. Then the phone call to Ben at AMTEX will be made.
